Mr. Kenneth Dietz
It is my privilage to be a part of leading the educational processes at South Side Elementary. I received both my Bachelors Degree and Master's Degree from Idaho State University. I student taught in fifth grade and have previously taught second grade, third grade, and fourth grade. I have also been fortunate to work as an instructional coach where I received extensive training in educational best practices in Professional Learning Communities (PLC's), cooperative learning, reading instructional strategies, leading groups, math intervention strategies, Write Tools, and other training that has broadened my perspective on the educational processes and what is possible.
I was then fortunate to serve as the principal of a small K-8 building in Wamsutter, Wyoming for two years. This unique opportunity and the changes we collaboratively implemented as a school to increase collaboration and intervene in support of student learning outcomes was incredible. During my time at Desert Elementary and Middle school we were able to achieve growth scores among the highest in the state. I was then transfered to open Stagecoach Elementary in Rock Springs, the largest elementary school in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Creating an educational system from the start was a great experience. Most recently, I served as the principal of East Side Elementary here in Worland, Wyoming. I am grateful to be a part of the transition to grade level schools that the district is experiencing.
During my career, it has been a pleasure to participate in accomplishing some lofty goals as both a teacher and principal that have proven to me that incredible things are possible with the right goals and systems in place to support student learning outcomes. I look forward to working with students, staff, parents, and community members to accomplish incredible things for students.
