We were privileged to spend some time and share some blankets with the residents and staff at the Worland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center today. We look forward to our next visit sometime this spring!

West Side collected over 750 individual items in our January Food Drive. Mrs. Hunter's class collected 353 individual items themselves, winning the class competition. All these items will be donated to the Worland Food Pantry. Mrs. Hunter's class will receive a pizza party. Way to go West Side!

Yesterday, at Monday Morning Meeting, we were able to present a couple of blankets to Alyssa Thatcher and the Worland Crisis Prevention & Response Center. The students in this photo helped tie the edges of these comfy blankets. It was a great way to kick off the week, and we hope these blankets will bring comfort to others.

We had a great time this past Thursday at our 2nd-Quarter Awards Assembly! We celebrated our kids in the following criteria: SOAR, Academic All-Star, Top Readers, and Effort. We also celebrated our Million Word Readers for the year so far. Here are some pics of our assembly!

West Side Kindness Squad will be heading up a canned food (or non-perishable items) drive. Beginning Tuesday, January 16, and ending Wednesday, January 31, your child(ren) may begin bringing items to their classroom. Each class will keep a running total of items collected in their room. The class who brings in the most items will receive a free pizza party. This will be a fun way to help the community and teach our students the importance of helping those who are less fortunate.
Thank you for your support in this project!
